Smiles to start your work week!

This week's spark of joy comes from a rainy Monday morning in Louisville. I laid in my bed this morning listening to the sound of the pitter patter on our roof and wondered what I could say to help spread joy this week.  I don't have time to make a Monday Funday video, but I do have 3 happy thoughts splashing around in my brain that I'd like to share.

Happy thought #1

It's great to work inside on a rainy day. It's a blessing to have a roof over your head. It's so easy to think about the kitchen you'd like to remodel, but it takes real work to appreciate the roof and remember that not everyone is so lucky and would LOVE to be in the shoes you're in.

Happy thought #2

I'm currently without a car. We've been waiting for State Farm and the Police to find and release my stolen mini van. The police and the body shop both told me that it could be fixed, but I just found out yesterday that State Farm thinks my car was totalled and now I've got to go buy a replacement. If you drove to work today, remember the times you've been stuck without and the hassle you avoided today.

THE MONDAY FUNDAY ATTITUDE

Happy thought #3

COVID case numbers are down. This is a bigger reason to smile, and I hope you're feeling the same sense of joy and relief that I am. My kids are now maskless at school and nobody's getting sick. It's a real blessing to see life getting easier. My first graders went through all of kindergarten and up until 2/22/22 had worn a mask to school every day. Fingers crossed we can keep people safe and maskless.

I'm scared to jinx us by saying we're nearing the end of the pandemic, but I will say that it's terrific to see regular life happening again.

IT'S ANOTHER GREAT DAY!

I believe it could always be worse. My thoughts and prayers go out to two friends of mine who have recently lost of their fathers. Appreciate the time you have with the loved ones in your life. Be glad for the little stuff that pitter patters through your life.

Have a great week!
