- Virginia Career Works (VCW) hosts a weekly virtual job search prep workshop on Tuesdays, at 2pm. This week's topic on March 8 is Workplace Skills - Why an Employer Should Hire You. Registration required. Their Thursday, March 10, 1pm, Employer of the Week, is UVA Talent Acquisition / Temps. Registration required. This is one of the easiest ways to get your foot in the door! - Attention aspiring business leaders of tomorrow! Community Investment Collaborative (CIC) and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) are looking to hire a full-time AmeriCorps member to serve as CIC's Financial Management Program Coordinator for one year. The position pays a total stipend of $20,000 with a $6345 education award to pay off student loans or return to school.
