Last week a student from Utah came to the O'Brien Guitars workshop and built a beautiful Florentine cutaway classical guitar with me. Not only did he make a a wonderful looking and sounding classical guitar with me but he is a full time luthier building really nice works of art. Below is a video of Jerry Cortez of Tower of Power, playing one of his creations. We had a wonderful week of conversation and guitar making! Congratulations to Joseph from Utah for a job well done!
 
  
I also recently launched another one of my Luthier Tips du Jour videos. The topic is kids and shop safety. My popular Luthier Tips du Jour video series has received over 10 million views on my Youtube channel and you can purchase unreleased as well as previously released videos on my website. Folks all over the world are making my Luthier Tips du Jour videos part of their Lutherie libraries.
