It’s Global Recycling Day! 🌎 ♻️
Recycling transforms something old into something new, making more use of that item and therefore contributing to less waste destined to be left in landfills and within the environment.

Here are some things you can incorporate into your life when it comes to recycling:

💡 Use less plastic
Think about how many products you buy that have excessive plastic, is there an alternative you can switch to? Perhaps bring your own grocery bags next time you visit the store, buy in bulk or buy a reusable water bottle to fill up on the go. Every little helps, and remember to recycle any plastic you still use!

💡 Start a conversation with your friends and family
Do they know how to recycle efficiently? There are tons of resources online on how to do this dependant on your local area, give it a Google and chat about it!

💡Repair and reuse
Instead of throwing something away, can it be reused, repaired, donated or mended? Think of things such as clothes, toys and games.

💡 Don’t forget about misc items
Unsure how to recycle your old electronics? Look online for your nearest location to ensure they’re disposed of properly and not destined for the landfill.
Lack of recycling can quickly become disastrous. When we mindlessly throw things away in the garbage, this directly affects our natural environments, urban areas and of course, wildlife! When recycling isn’t done properly or not even attempted, the following are contributed to:

❌ Marine pollution
❌ Resource waste
❌ Landfill growth
And much more…

Recycling is so important for many reasons! There are tons of resources online that can help you understand how and where you can recycle efficiently in your area.

Remember this next time you're sorting through your recyclables:

✅ Recycling conserves energy
✅ Recycling prevents pollution
✅ Recycling conserves natural resources

When you recycle properly, you are making a difference.
Why not make every day Global Recycling Day? 💡♻️
