Jubilee launches its first pastoral search process in over 25 years! This past Thursday evening, Pastoral Search Committee gathered to begin its work to discern future pastoral leadership for Jubilee. Melody Clymer, Jeff Landis, Suzanne Opel and Lisa Shelly along with Del Glick, serving as resource person, gathered to lay the groundwork for this important process. Lisa was affirmed as chair and Suzanne as secretary. Their next meeting is Monday evening, March 14. Your prayers and support for them will be greatly appreciated.
In response to questions and concerns shared with Jubilee leadership, the Elders and the Transitional Team invited everyone jr. youth age (5th grade) and up, who considers Jubilee their home congregation, to complete a brief survey at the conclusion of the worship service on March 6. The survey is anonymous and is intended to gather information on personal beliefs within Jubilee regarding women in pastoral leadership and LGBTQ. The data will be compiled for reflection and discussion with hopes of discerning how we can best respond individually and congregationally as we move forward together. If you were unable to attend the service on March 6 and you would like to fill out a survey, please contact Joel or Kelsey this week. The deadline to turn in surveys is Sunday, March 13.
