What's New?

Masking guidelines are changing on March 12th, with masks no longer being required in the Museum. We know that this is a concern for some so we are evaluating having masked sessions available to mask-wearing groups only. We have put together a survey that we would like you to fill out if you are interested in masked sessions. Click here to complete the survey.

Visitors, members, students and CMSC employees will be able to choose whether or not they want to wear a mask on a voluntary basis beginning on March 12, 2022 - masks will no longer be required in the Museum. We will support and respect anyone who continues to wear a mask, with the understanding that people may have health or family concerns, or other reasons for wearing them.

We will continue with the same hours and timed ticketing for the remainder of the month of March. Updates will be posted on our website and social media regarding upcoming changes to our operating schedules, and when we’ll be restarting Birthday Parties/Celebrations.

Our thanks to everyone that has us as their chosen charity on Amazon Smile and to Peter Goldfarb for his donation. We are grateful for the support we continue to receive from all of our contributors.

Spring Break Camps are back! JOIN US FOR Spring Break FUN AND LEARNING! Camps range from cardboard construction to science, dinosaurs and some serious tinkering! Time to Spring Forward!

This week's article by Dina Roth Port on Parents.com offers helpful tips for helping your children transition through the time change...

"Daylight saving time is no fun for anyone. That groggy, "I really don't want to get out of bed" feeling lingers for days after you change your clocks, and it can make any already sleep-deprived parent feel exhausted. But the change in sleep patterns can be even tougher on your kids. "Young children need more sleep and don't tolerate sleep deprivation as well as adults," explains Daniel Lewin, Ph.D., associate director of sleep medicine at Children's National Health System in Washington, D.C. "The loss of just one hour can really affect a child's attention span, appetite, and overall mood." [click to read the whole article]

Your cell phone will make the change for you, but if you have clocks that need to be changed manually, you can do it on Saturday night - put them forward one hour and you'll be all set for Sunday!
