FLOOD PREPARATION AND RESPONSE A COMPLETE FAILURE: GREENS

Liberal Federal and State governments have completely failed in their preparation and response to the flood disaster hitting Australia, Greens Leader Adam Bandt said today.
The failure to invest in flood mitigation and prepare for climate disasters, the failure to warn people and then provide an emergency response, the inadequacy of disaster payments, the insurance mess and the lack of readiness for the scale of the recovery is all down to the Liberals’ addiction to spin over substance and a ‘hands off’ view of government, Mr Bandt said.
