Patrick Pride Jr.
Dancer, New York Baroque Dance Company

Patrick Pride Jr. is a NYC based dancer, who recently joined NYBDC in 2021. Born & raised in Richmond, Virginia, Patrick discovered his love & passion for dance once he moved to Nashville, Tennessee in his adolescent years. He is the first among his fellow colleagues to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Austin Peay State University in 2018. After graduating, Patrick performed in various musicals around Tennessee, was a member of Found Movement Group (a Contemporary-based dance theatre company), while also teaching at a dance studio part-time. During the summer of 2020, Patrick moved to NYC to further pursue his dance career and even the pandemic didn’t stop him from receiving work. He performed in a music video, dance project and choreographed Lion King Jr. for a theatre. He even performed for a Brooklyn dance company, AP Dance Inc. that recently won the Special Mention award for the 2021 Global Shorts Awards. Patrick Pride is very excited to start his journey with New York Baroque Dance Company.

Patrick will be staying in Bethe from 3/19-3/27. Watch him perform in:

“The Pleasures of the Quarrel: Three Parisian Operatic Hits from the Contested Season of 1753” is scheduled for March 27 at 3 p.m. in Bailey Hall.
