Our 2022 Helping Parents Heal Second Conference!
Once again, our Helping Parents Heal Conference Chair, Irene Vouvalides, and I are thrilled to announce that our Second Helping Parents Heal Conference will take place at the Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix AZ, from August 18th - 21st, 2022. Omgosh, what a GIFT we received from Lisa Wilcoxson and our son, Max on March 15th! I had just spent the day, literally hours that day, on a condo we are purchasing in FL – you know, Florida, where the beaches are! The first thing Lisa was getting was related to selling a house or a “real estate transaction that happened today and him with a surfboard, heading to the beach”. (We also have this picture from a past visit to FL!) My husband and I thought “no way” because we’ve always believed that even though a BIG personality, our son wasn’t likely to speak up in a room full of people! We stand corrected 😊
Lisa thought maybe he was blond and named “Jake”… so he went a little unconventional with his blond lab named Jake who happened to be lying at my feet during the reading - we’ll take it! (I’ve attached a picture of the boys.) She mentioned that we have drawings he did as a little guy, specifically stick figures, and then “hello to Gram”. We have lots of pictures he drew but this one I’ve included is of a stick figure he drew FOR his Gram and is kept in a frame of him, his cousin AND Gram (literally what we call her), who is in spirit with him. (As the unfolding continued into the evening, we believe the “Hello” was actually FROM Gram!) Last, but not least, the girlfriend. Lisa was hearing that “the girlfriend was the real deal, I was gonna marry her.” Not a doubt in our minds, they’d been off-and-on for years but were always drawn back to each other – look how cute they are 😊
There were other pieces that resonated, too, and we just can’t thank Lisa and HPH enough for the beautiful, totally unexpected gift of hearing from our precious son. We truly believe he’s always with us, but Lisa’s reminder of “Mom, I’m right here” sure was a beautiful thing to hear!!

Amy Sanders's Validation with her son Brandon through Daniel John

I was so fortunate to have been chosen for a lengthy reading during our recent zoom with Daniel! At the beginning I identified with his mention of Toy Story, and Woody, those were some of my son's favorite movies! He had woody toy as a child.
As well, he mentioned that we'd have many experiences with electronics and lights, which although I didn't say it in order to be chosen, we have been blessed with many of these. He was drawn to me and went with it, but also took the time part way through to acknowledge that he felt strongly he was with me, there can be a lot of piggy backing in these situations. I received meaningful messages regarding my journey, but as well there were many specific validations he nailed!
Daniel spoke about the fact that I had a goal to give my kids the childhood I didn't have and how I felt my son should have been able to reach more milestones such as marriage and children, and that my son said he wasn't meant to do those things and I should not worry about the things I focus on, such as blaming myself. He said I don't exactly blame myself, but it was more of a misunderstanding and I needed to know it was not my fault. My son passed from an accidental overdose due to fentanyl poisoning. He'd had a relapse three years after his first drug issue, and it had been another 3 years so I say to myself, why wasn't I on high alert knowing it had been the 3 year point?! And of course even if I've made great strides in this process, I still go down the rabbit hole on occasion of 'what if's' when he was 3 or 23.
My son consistently focuses on his childhood in all of my readings, and what a good one it was, he wants me to get it into my head that it's not my fault and I succeeded in my initial goal of breaking the cycle and giving them a good life. And anyways, his life there in heaven is like nirvana, and wanted to tell us all it's real! One could say that is a generic message, but it was backed up by very exact validations from the past few days to show me that my son is with me!
For example he asked if I had been reading the Bible lately, which I had been listening to some things the day before, and had the thought that I should read it. He mentioned if I'd bought paper plates lately or come into a bunch of them, and my son was saying, why not just use the dishes, mom?! No one could know that I was at the grocery store a few days ago and contemplated buying some, as my fiancé likes to keep them on hand, but I didn't because I decided no, I'll just use the dishes! Further more, I never used paper plates except for picnics when my kids were growing up, we always used dishes because it was more civilized! No one would know this!
My son called me out on not looking at every penny's date, and just this past week I didn't have my phone to blow up the date with my camera so I put the penny in my wallet....thinking I need to look at the date! There were many validations, it was a lengthy reading, he also asked me if I'd made muffins lately, and I said yes...then he said corn muffins and I followed with saying, corn muffins just after Daniel said it. He said that he got from it that had lately I decided I needed to care for the relationships I still have here, and live - including taking the extra step to make muffins.
I've been going through a rough patch, and I know intellectually that my son wants me to as he told Daniel, "capitalize on the rest of my time here and enjoy the experiences". Daniel indeed was connecting with my son, Brandon, I could keep going with many more things that he was spot-on about! The thing is, we cannot cherry pick, so I know these things that can be validated are true then I must take it all to heart and listen to his wishes for me. And do it. These are all gifts to show me and to show everyone, that our kids are with us all of the time and we cannot spend the rest of our time here thinking about the past, but to live our best lives for them!

I do feel my reading was an example of piggybacking, as there were others that resonated with it. Pauline said Ryan was important, even if it wasn’t their name. I did almost name Brandon Ryan and he had a best friend Ryan. We just celebrated his sister and her son’s birthdays. Pauline said there was a special occasion; my daughter and grandson had just had birthdays, which I spaced that day. She said she saw a uniform of some kind, Brandon almost always comes through showing childhood memories and he was a Cub Scout, besides football, and other sports. He was lean child and grew into a 6’1” man with an athletic physique. She mentioned issues with his front teeth, and his original time of wearing braces as a teen his teeth shifted and had to get Invisalign because his front teeth were unusually wearing down (no one told us when boys become men that the jaw works shift!) We didn’t get around to doing veneers. She said he was smart but didn’t reach his potential and described himself with an English accent as “wayward”.
He was a good student but did start experimenting with drugs in high school and then in college is where the issues started. He had a good sense of humor always loved doing a George Harrison accent so he would have said “wayward”. He was very bright and did finish college but I think his potential was more than he actually used. We were very close and he was very loving son even he had a sharp and occasionally cutting sense of humor. I have been the glue that holds our family together. Pauline mentioned an older male who is sick, my fiancé (who he knew) got Covid within the week after. I asked Brandon to come through with Pauline that day, and I think I needed a boost with the anniversary coming up.

My name is Jaksiri, but everybody calls me Jaky. I had the opportunity to be chosen by Pauline Mason last February 22. I was the last mom to be able to receive a reading. As you requested, I am sending you the evidence of her reading.
I can tell you, it was an immense pleasure and satisfaction to hear from my princess through Pauline because she described her by heart. Her reading was so real to me and 100% accurate. I am attaching the pictures of the daisy necklace, the white horse toy and the painting with the sunflowers as physical evidence.I also want to thank you for all the wonderful job you guys do to help us navigate through these awful and painful moments and for giving us so much hope and faith. I hope my reading with Pauline, helps other parents that have lost a child to realize they are still alive, and loving us more than ever. Pauline: she had dark curly or wavy hair: -------My daughter had dark brown wavy hair
Pauline: She was like a little doll: ---------She was really beautiful in and out.
Pauline: Fascination with flowers: ----------Although she never saw a real sunflower she was fascinated by sunflowers and used to play in the front yard with small flowers and give them to me.
Pauline: She didn't reach 4 years old. -------She passed 2 weeks prior to her 4th birthday
Pauline: I feel like she loved to cuddle: ----- She was the most caring, loving and cheerful little girl I have ever met.She gave these best hugs, and loved to spend time cuddling with
Mommy and daddy.
Pauline: She has things in her hair: ----------------She used a lot of hair bands, and loved her minnie hat.
Pauline: She is handing me some soft toys:--------------She was not fond of stuffed animals toys but she had 4 very soft stuffed animals that she used to sleep with, and she adored.
Pauline: She is putting her arms up like she wants me to pick her up.----------------She was a very independent little girl, but when she was feeling bad, breathless or fatigue due to her medical condition she would put her arms up for us to pick her up.
Pauline: Was it a form of Asthma?---------- It was Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, symptoms are similar to asthma, but more severe and fatal in some cases.
Pauline: Would she have a pump or something to try to help her?---------- Yes, she had a subq remodulin Pump infusing continuous medication. This was the last treatment she was on before her transition.
Pauline: Hot weather did not agree with her, she would get really tired.----------Yes, she was receiving a lot of medication to lower her pulmonary pressures, so in hot weather she would feel really tired and fatigued to the point where she passed out.
Pauline:She looks absolutely perfect. ----------------She was absolutely perfect and beautiful. Since she was born my husband and I have always said she was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect miracle baby.
Pauline: She looks like in her passing she was asleep.---------------------She was induced into a coma after a surgical procedure due to complications, she transitioned while in the coma.
Pauline: she comes forward saying thank you for what you did or tried to do.----------Due to pregnancy complications, she was very premature, and born micro preemie and extremely low birth weight. Since then, I stopped working and dedicated all these years to her and for her,giving her a lot of love and being her best advocate, looking for the best treatment possible for her medical condition, so she could have a better quality of life. I guess that is why she says thank you. But I did it because I love her, and I would do it all over again.
Pauline: Did she ever have to be in a wheelchair or something where you push her around it.---------- Yes, her stroller. Due to her medical condition she would get fatigued easily, so we would use her stroller outside the house all the time.
Pauline:She has beautiful eyes:---------- Yes, she had really beautiful eyes, we used to say she had the eyes of an old soul.
Pauline: She keeps showing me a picture with a flower, but not her holding the flower. ------------------In her honor, my husband's cousin did a painting of her from a real picture with sunflowers around her. This painting is hung in our house, and reflects her personality and her soul beauty.
Pauline:Around this time there is a celebration in your family.------------- It is my sister in law, mother in law, my mom, and my daughter's sister's birthday coming up.
Pauline: Have you thought you have heard her laughing?-----------------Yes, once, her laughing was very special and contagious.
Pauline:She said she laughed, and wants you to know she is not in any pain.--------------She would get blood draw monthly and the pain as well from the subq medication and procedures, I guess she is referring to that.
Pauline:She is handing me a white horse, like a unicorn, a pony, do you have something like that?------ Yes, she had a white horse toy that was given to her by her favorite therapist that she loved.
Pauline:She is so much love.-----------yes, she was pure, unconditional love all the time.
Pauline: Do you have at the moment an elderly member of the family that is not doing really well? -----------yes
Pauline: There is also an older man, a grandfather holding her hand.--------------my husband and I, we both have grandfathers in the spiritual realm.
Pauline: She also has a daisy necklace around her neck.----------- yes she had a daisy necklace that she would wear sometimes.
Pauline: She pays all the time. -----------Although her medical condition, she was non stop playing all the time with so much energy, so smart, selfless, and had a pure heart and soul.

Evolved Souls Don’t Need Long Earthly Lives

To all parents, I am very sorry about the death of your child’s human form. However, I’m glad you are learning how to heal and transform. Six key understandings to making that shift are:
1. Over 99.9% of who and what your child “was” is still alive in the next phase of life. See articles #1 and 60 at SoulProof.com for a review of the scientific and clinical evidence.
2. Only his earthly body died. Everything else continues – the love, energy, sense of humor, memory, personality, energetic body, and much more. Really knowing this is a key to healing.
3. She is happy, peaceful, loving, and enthusiastic – and wants you to be that way now too.
4. You will see him when you pass on and can enjoy a different kind of relationship now. (To learn more about how you can do this, see article #9 Visit With ‘Departed’ Loved Ones Now)
5. You can choose to transmute your grief into a spiritually transformative experience that
powerfully improves your life and blesses others.
6. You can heal and increase the gifts from his life by lovingly serving others.
Bereaved parents understandably feel much pain, sadness, anger, guilt, and other lower energy emotions. No one could or should ever judge that. However, many parents have learned to emphasize #1 – 6 above and enjoy life again. They have journeyed – one step at a time – FROM bereaved parents TO shining light parents.
Shining light parents have sad feeling too at times, but they choose to focus – as much as possible – on appreciation for great times and memories, realization they will see their child again, and transformation by finding the silver linings. They resolve to make the world a better place in honor of their children by creating more meaning to their life and passing.

Q: Our baby girl recently died. Will she continue to grow as a child on the other side?
A#4: Your question reflects so much pain and yearning. I am sorry for your sadness and suffering, but glad you are asking great questions so you can heal and move forward.
My answers to your question may be difficult to grasp since little ones seem so vulnerable. The illusion of death can be amplified when a child changes worlds. But a limited viewpoint does a disservice to the powerful awareness / soul who visited earth and was your daughter for just a short time.
Some people envision nurseries and schools in the next stage of life where children can continue developmental stages similar to those on earth. This view has been reported during some after death communications and readings with mediums. Perhaps some souls, especially beginner ones, want to continue experiencing the role of a child even though they are no longer living on earth. Continuing to manifest as a little one in the afterlife realm might allow healers in training there to practice their childcare skills.
However, my sense is that appearing as a child is often 'just' a temporary manifestation to lessen the parents' grief. It's vital to remember: she only appeared to be a baby in this particular earthly experience. Actually, she is a timeless beings of consciousness / energy just like you and me and everyone else. With those missions accomplished, she may have bigger goals and adventures to pursue than being in an afterlife grade school.
The bottom line? You can be assured that she is lovingly cared for and in good hands. A marvelous array of experiences awaits her. She can enjoy relationships with 'deceased' family members and pets even if they didn't meet while on earth. And you will see each other again.

From Jane Asher: Jane had the great honor of interviewing two remarkable women this week for the show. Jason Durham steps down from the Helping Parents Heal Board

We are sorry to say that Jason Durham has stepped down from his role as Board Member of Helping Parents Heal. He has been an integral part of our team, creating our logo and our First Conference brochure, working with Presenters for the conference, reworking our website so that it was more user-friendly and beautiful, and writing a chapter for our book, 'Life to Afterlife - Helping Parents Heal, The Book'. He has also written his own book entitled 'Shift - The Spiritual Awakening of a Grieving Father' that is also available on Amazon.
Jason is the Shining Light Dad of Bailey and we know that she is very proud of her father. Thank you, Jason - you have been an integral part of Helping Parents Heal.

Soul Planning ~ Living Between Two Worlds. Hello everyone! If you’ve never heard of, been interested or invested in soul plans, I hope to bring you insights and nuggets that have helped me in the last 27 years since my Scott’s transitioning…with my understanding of living between two worlds. We are all there now I imagine…and seeking. Thankfully Scott is very present in my life now, yet I too had to travel day into night, again and again with my pain, too many questions and not enough answers…until I learned of soul planning. What is this? Pre-birth plans? We planned all this before we were born?? Then we forgot everything when we were born and now must live through all this? I ask you to take a breath…and know our children know this better than we do. They are aware of everything. They are guiding us via the plans we made with them…in all our shared experiences. Scott named this “spiritual collaboration” for me to envision that space between these two worlds, making this space between us smaller, more accessible, rich in meaning, very real and purposeful. Maybe add this term to your new vocabulary too. Spiritual collaboration. I know your beautiful children are also teaching you…I’ll be back again to help you understand how soul planning has brought immense meaning, depth and healing to my life…with Scott as my teacher. Yes, he and I signed up for this. I’m so grateful I don’t need to do it all alone.

Every month, please join us for a Sound Healing Meditation with author and Shining Light Mom Andrea Courey! Award winning entrepreneur, author, lecturer and recipient of a McGill University Dobson Fellow, Andrea graduated from McGill University in 1982 and from the University of Victoria in 2018 with a Master’s in Education. Since Andrea’s near death experience in 1991, she has been practicing meditation and was introduced to Sound Meditation a decade later.
Andrea’s daughter Chloe passed into Spirit in 2016. Six weeks later, Andrea began a dialogue with Chloe after hearing Chloe’s words 'Mom, you are so easy to find it's a joke'. For five months they exchanged many conversations which became Andrea’s first book ‘Conversations with Chloe: A Mother and Daughter Dialogue Across the Veil’. Her second book, ‘Magical Thinking…not!’ is a collection of conversations with bereaved parents about their journeys of love and loss and the signs they receive from their children in spirit. Andrea is a sound healing practitioner helping people to reduce anxiety and experience deep peace. My name is Colleen Byrne and our youngest son Denis (DJ) passed away on October 4, 2019. He transitioned after a short illness that affected his respiratory system. DJ began sending signs right away and came through to us via a medium Maura Geist one month after his passing. I chat with DJ daily and he often comes to me with music and butterflies. I know that helping others on this journey is where I am meant to be. Our group covers NYC and Westchester counties.

Allison and David are the parents of three amazing adult children: Jocelyn, Davey and Julia. Davey transitioned on July 20, 2016; he was involved in a solo car accident at the age of 24. This is documented along with their journey in David’s book Finding Davey. We felt Davey right away and knew he was not gone. We found out about HPH and it has helped us heal and connect with other patents. We enjoy talking about the signs we get from Davey and hearing about other parents’ experiences. Being a “Shining Light Parent” has helped us find meaning. Her sessions are now on the second Monday of every month from 2 pm - 4 pm EST.
