LATEST UPDATES TO APPENDIX K
Following the last World Motor Sport Council meeting, an updated version of Appendix K has been published and has been applicable since 21st of March 2022 with the following amendment being adopted:
HOMOLOGATED CARS – Appendix K – 7.4.1
Introduction of a clarification mirroring the period FIA World and European Rally guidelines for organisers which banned any Group B cars over 1600cc and/or with forced induction to compete from 1987 onwards. This means that such cars are not eligible for rallying events in the Historic Technical Passport system and/or on FIA Competitions.
The above addition is mirrored under Appendix XI to Appendix K and applicable to Period J2 cars.
ROLL OVER PROTECTION STRUCTURES – Appendix VI to Appendix K
Update of section 5.3 for Specific Roll Over Protection Structures approved by the Historic Motor Sport Commission and with the addition of the Mini Marcos, Alpine A110 and Alpine A310. These structures are mandatory and to be used in accordance with Article 5.1 to Appendix VI to Appendix K.

TYRE LIST & HOMOLOGATIONS
We understand that several ASNs, Competitors and Organisers have been waiting on the publication of the Historic Technical Tyre List detailing the newly introduced Historic Tyre Homologation procedure and ensuing catalogues approved by the FIA for circuit racing up to Period F included.
The documents are as we speak in the process of being finalised and will be shortly available online in the dedicated section of the FIA Historic Database before the end of April.
FIA HISTORIC DATABASE
The Historic Secretariat has been working over winter on bringing more content to the historic database. After numerous hours spent dealing with the scanner and verifying those publications, we are happy to bring you the first 54 monthly FIA Official Bulletins in digital form, English and French version, starting from June 1967 up to December 1971 included.
There is no better way to detail the purpose of these documents than by stating the exact words which were published on the first page of that first bulletin back in June 1967 so here we go:
To meet a wish frequently expressed in the past, the F.I.A. has decided to gather in a periodical bulletin, issued on a fixed date, all official information which so far was circulated separately and at any time of the year. This bulletin which will be issued at the beginning of each month will enable the sporting departments of the ACNs to keep up more punctually with the decisions of the C.S.I. on international motor sport regulations, and it will contain all items of information which the F.I.A, deems necessary to circulate, viz. mainly the following:
- New international regulations on amendments to existing ones ;
- Modifications of the International Sporting Calendar or the International Karting Calendar ;
- Periodical recognitions of series-production cars ;
- World and international records ;
- Provisional results of all championships ;
- International penalties.
The circulation of this bulletin is not restricted only to the ACNs. It is also available to private individuals or firms which owing to the direct interest that they have vested in motorsport feel the need of being kept informed regularly of FIA official statements. It will therefore be sent to all who ask for it, at conditions which will be made known to them at their request.
