Letter from the Editor.
If you can't tell, I'm writing this on my MACBOOK AIR: A CUT ABOVE THE REST OF THEM.
I've been spending my spring break breaking down because I had cramps. TMI? Get over it.
I saw an old friend of mine. She and I have been friends for 19 years. Get yourself a 19-year friendship and build a freaking house on that. That's what life is all about.
After that, I went to the Star Antique Mall in Sellwood. I had not been there in years and all the stuff got older. Extra-antiquey.
I bought a ceramic bowl and a large pink cubic planter that looks like a Kleenex Box for someone who is 150% bigger than a normal human. I don't know what I'm going to put in it but I don't think I will be putting a plant or a Kleenex brand facial tissue.
Sometimes, it's okay to let planters be empty if they look cool enough on their own. But no one will ever see it because it will be in the bathroom in my basement that no one dares enter!!!
(Is this newsletter coming off a big aggressive to you? Don't expect it to stop).
I took a nap Sunday night and missed eating pizza at the kitchen table with my parents. Bummer, too, because we were having Schmizza. I love Schmizza.
I went to a concert Monday night. It felt weird to be near that many people. I was also there to see two artists and I only knew one song between the two of them. BUT, I had such a good time. I was, in fact, blown away by (I'll reveal the artist's name now) dodie's arrangements for strings and percussion. I got swept up in a sonic swell. And I surfed that right home by 10:30pm because that concert ended at a respectable time on a Monday night. We can't all be on spring break.
I will be going on a work-oriented spring break. I am headed to the South in a couple of weeks. Let me know if you need to contact me now because I will be pretty busy when I'm in the MINI GOLF CAPITAL OF THE WORLD: MYRTLE BEACH, SC!!!
I'm also touring Savannah, Columbia, and Charleston--so if you know and love those places, let me know what I need to see because I will have two days to soak up the sights of each city.
Gonzaga is out of the men's tournament. Gonzaga was not playing like a title-winning team, I'll tell you that. But I am so upset. And the one time we decide to strike a deal with a college basketball player too.
The only thing that is making me feel better is looking at my new antique ceramic bowl.
OMG I released music. I bet you already knew that but I am obligated per my contract to market it in my newsletter. I recorded some demos and put them on the internet. Next stop? Sonic the Hedgehog 2 world premiere in Hollywood??
I watched Legally Blonde this weekend and that movie is so good.
I also celebrated my brother's birthday by watching him and his wife run around with my niece at her soccer practice for 2 year-olds. It was as cute as you could possibly imagine.
Man, there is something else I was going to tell you but I can't even remember what it was or else, I swear, I would. I've probably said too much as it is.
Good luck on all your endeavors and may you engage all your troubles with courage and tact.
Rachel
(I just remembered what that thing was! I bought a new plant!)
