Stations of the Cross Coming to Epiphany
Sculptor and member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Charles "Ty" Wells will be sharing his 14 marble reliefs of the Stations of the Cross in the fellowship hall at Epiphany during Holy Week. Immediately after the 5 PM Good Friday service (April 15), there will be a short devotional service starting at 6:00 PM followed by remarks by the sculptor. There is an accompanying booklet with a picture of each Station, together with a Bible reading and prayer related to each Station, which is used in the meditation and which normally takes place on Good Friday or during Lent in many churches. The marble reliefs are each displayed on an easel with individual lights. The stations of the Cross depict events of Jesus' last day on earth from arrest to entombment.

A Verse for Today When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
- Leviticus 19:33-34 (NIV)
A Prayer for Today God of all mercy, you love all that you have made. You forgive the sins of all who are truly sorry. Create and make in us clean hearts, that we, humbly confessing our sins and knowing our brokenness, may receive forgiveness and blessings; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives with you and the Holy Spirt, one God, now and forever and ever. Amen
We pray for our siblings in Ukraine and Russia
"Glory to Ukraine" is the rallying cry of those fighting to keep Ukraine an independent country. " In Ukraine and Russia, people are showing their respect for Ukraine as a sovereign country, honoring those who are fighting for it, fleeing from it, and the terrible deaths of civilians by saying the phrase "Glory to Ukraine," according to parishioners with ties to the embattled region. They erected this banner beneath our sign on 6&11 amid honks of support from passing motorists last Saturday "to salute the heroes of the war in Ukraine, the brave soldiers who fought for their country, and honor the lives lost, innocent civilians."
Let us continue to pray for peace.
