SH 358 RAMP REVERSAL PROJECT CLOSURES CONTINUE Work to affect EB/WB mainlanes, EB/WB entrance ramps, EB frontage road
CORPUS CHRISTI – As part of the SH 358 (South Padre Island Drive) Ramp Reversal Project, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) contractors will continue daytime and nighttime closures of mainlanes, ramps and frontage lanes next week.
Contractors have planned a Sunday night eastbound mainlane closure at Staples to continue working on the new permanent barrier on the mainlanes. Meanwhile, nightly westbound mainlane closures are planned Monday through Thursday at Staples for barrier and pavement work.
Crews will also continue daytime and nighttime closures along the eastbound frontage road for sign installation.

SH 358 Eastbound Mainlane and Ramp Closures
9 p.m. Sunday (3/27) to 6 a.m. Monday (3/28): All eastbound SH 358 mainlanes will be closed at Staples Street. Drivers will exit at Staples, continue on the frontage road, and may re-enter the mainlanes after Staples. The eastbound entrance ramps from Weber and Everhart roads will also be closed. Drivers may enter eastbound SH 358 after Staples.
SH 358 Westbound Mainlane and Ramp Closures
9 p.m. Monday (3/28) to 6 a.m. Tuesday (3/29): All westbound SH 358 mainlanes will be closed at Staples. Drivers will exit at Staples, continue on the frontage road, and may re-enter the mainlanes after Kostoryz Road. The westbound entrance ramps from Airline Road, Staples, Everhart and Weber will also be closed. Drivers may enter westbound SH 358 after Kostoryz.
Tuesday (3/29) through Thursday (3/31), 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. EACH NIGHT: All westbound SH 358 mainlanes will be closed at Staples for barrier and pavement work. Drivers will exit at Staples, continue on the frontage road, and may re-enter the mainlanes after Staples. The westbound entrance ramps from Everhart and Weber will also be closed. Drivers may enter westbound SH 358 after Staples.
SH 358 Eastbound Frontage Road
Daytime and nighttime single-lane closures may occur on the eastbound frontage road at various locations between Ayers Street and Nile Drive for sign installation work. Driveway access to all businesses and properties will always remain open.
SH 358 Turnarounds
Turnarounds between Ayers and Nile may close as needed for sign installation work. Drivers may instead make left turns at the intersection which will remain open.
All work is weather permitting. Lane closures are subject to change without notice.
