Easter Celebration
Join us for fun, food, and fellowship after the Easter Sunday service. Bring your baskets because, of course, there will be an Easter egg hunt! Plus there will be games for the young, and young at heart, followed by the long awaited return of a dinner shared by all. Yea! The planning team will provide a variety of barbequed meats, vegetarian options, salad, and drinks. Please bring your favorite sides and deserts for us to enjoy and rave about. Consider bringing your own cup or water bottle to reduce waste. Also, we need a few volunteers to help set-up and take-down tables and chairs. Questions? Talk to Jim Dodrill, Alan Higgerson, Allison Schaaf, or Robert Stewart.

Lutheran Disaster Response
Lutheran Disaster Response is on the scene in Ukraine, and in Eastern Europe, offering assistance with the growing refugee crisis.  They provide critical assistance where the world is hurting the most.  This is a concrete way you can help make a difference.  See elca.org/disaster, for more information and how to donate. Contact Tess Shearer for more info. Let us pray for peace.

OPPORTUNITIES TO BE INVOLVED

Outreach Giving Opportunities for March:
We continue this month's planned outreach efforts on Cross Trails Ministry and their camps at which so many of our families have celebrated fun and faith.  You will be able to donate through our online Breeze giving site: https://newlifedrippingsprings.breezechms.com/give/online - just click on the dropdown fund and select "Cross Trails" . Our goal is to reach $200 in giving this week. With your generous donation we can help to support Cross Trails' hospitality and faith leadership to children and families throughout Central Texas.

We are also continuing to collect materials to create Lenten Care Kits in support of the Lutheran World Relief Fund.  A collection bin will be set up near the entrance to our worship area.  Items needed are linked below. Please try to donate items needed for an entire kit or team up with a buddy family/families to split items needed.

Remaining Outreach Service Opportunities for March:
1. Assembly of Lenten Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief Fund will be scheduled after worship toward the end of the month to enable collection of materials.

Godly Play for Preschoolers - 5th Grade
Godly Play circle is now under the Oaks following worship
During Lent we’ll hear the stories of Jesus’ life. It’s a way for your child to begin or continue learning these important stories that are part of who we are as the followers of Jesus. Work time now includes, not just drawing,  but also lots of activities on the land from raking leaves to painting rocks to just observing all that is part of the natural world that God has given us.

Help On The Land
Look at the land tasks list on the New Life website to see what needs to be done. You can go anytime. Please let Michael Meinecke know if something is done or needs to be added (his contact info is in the directory) -- if you see anything unusual, please let Michael know, so he can coordinate efforts and respond to questions. Please bring any needed tools and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Walk the New Life Labyrinth -- Video Here
A prayer labyrinth is a way to pray contemplatively and be outside and move at the same time. The New Life prayer labyrinth is a wonderful resource for this time of isolation. Our prayer labyrinth is on the World Wide Labyrinth Locator -- sometimes you'll find people who have found it that way. You can also find other labyrinths and walk them.

Newsletter Items & Sunday Announcements
If you have an item for the Friday weekly newsletter, please email newsletter editor Bonnie Gonzalez -- by Wednesday evening if possible!

THANK YOU!
This is an active church, living out our faith in service. Thanks to so many who give time, talents and treasures to help spread the Good News of God's love here in our Hill Country community.

WEATHER POLICY
We worship outdoors year-round. Please dress for your comfort. When possible, we hold worship under the oaks. In case of persistent rain or cold temperatures (below 55°F) anticipated at the time of worship, we will be in our tent and may have the sides up and heaters on in the winter. See more information on our severe weather policy here.

If there is active lighting in the area, we may delay until a storm passes or cancel worship for that week since the tent does not provide adequate shelter. When possible, someone will be present to let people know, and we may be able to offer car blessings. We will post on the New Life website and Facebook page if worship is delayed or canceled. Please check those places if there are storms in the area.
New Life is an outdoor worshipping church that is active in the Dripping Springs community, serving our neighbors. We pray and do Bible study out in the community, and we care for a piece of the Texas Hill Country which is open to our neighbors for walking, praying the labyrinth, watching wildlife, etc. We worship every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. We do Bible study after worship during the school year, except about once every other month when we make community service part of our liturgy and go out to build relationships with our neighbors together. We welcome you to be part of this community and our mission to share God’s love out in creation and out in our community.
