It’s not too late to enrol for the last two March events. This Tuesday don’t miss ‘Faith and Reason’ with Greg Gauthier - and how these two should be partners in any spiritual search. It’s followed next Tuesday by Mark Vernon’s 3-session course Dante and the Expansion of Being. Over three sessions Mark will explore the spiritual states of those variously situated in the realms of Hell, Purgatory and Paradise, of which Dante was the chosen witness.

Faith and Reason with Greg Gauthier

Tuesday 22 March, 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

Pope John Paul II argued that ‘Faith and Reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth; and God has placed in the human heart a desire to know the truth’.

This session takes a deep dive into that image of the two wings and explores how Faith and Reason are a partnership in the pursuit of truth rather than enemies locked in an eternal struggle for domination.

We’ll touch on questions of metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics, and explore how this partnership manifests itself in our daily lives.

Dante and The Expansion of Being with Mark Vernon (3 Sessions)

Dante is famous for his epic pilgrimage. But what does it mean to travel to hell, purgatory and paradise? How does he change to make such transports possible?

In this three part series, we will ask what he discovers and realises about the nature of being, so that we might discover and realise more too.
