Hi <<First Name>>!

It may seem that there is no place for art in such hard times. But throughout history, people have used art as a form of self-expression, reflecting on their lives and what they observe. Art is constantly changing and evolving along with history. Art can help heal the wounds, it inspires "meaningful thinking". It helps alleviate people's suffering and help people cope with their own suffering. That is why we keep on doing what we believe in and hope that peace and art will come to every house.

IN MARCH FLOATING EKA PUBLISHED ITS FIRST ANNUAL REPORT

It may seem that it was in another life. But it was not pointless.
2021 for our organization can be compared to hull construction in boat building (a hull is the most notable part of the ship). 2021 was dedicated to administrative processes and conceptualizing our vision and mission, we wrote project outlines, met, and got to know each other with partners and artists. Experimented, brainstormed, and dreamed a lot, in order to make our first steps towards major international cross-cultural projects in 2022. We thank everyone who supported Floating EKA Foundation on our journey in 2021. Find out more about our accomplishments and results in 2021 here.

IS THERE A PLACE FOR ART IN RUSSIA?
In St Petersburg has started an art project "Little Picket". Its participants (anyone can participate) make small sculptures with posters and place them around the city.
"To get out of stupor, you can do a small action that will help relieve the feeling of fear, senselessness, helplessness," says the founder of this art intervention.
On February 28, an anonymous group of artists from Samara held an art event Let's give a word to the dead on the Volga river. Human bodies in black bags on white snow are an image of the death of people, cultural ties, and the future.
On March 27, the art intervention "Heart bleeds" took place in St Petersburg. The artist Evgenia Isayeva doused herself with red paint, spread her arms and repeated the phrase "My heart bleeds" until the police took her away.
