OPEN HOUSE FOR DRIGGS AFFORDABLE HOUSING CODE AMENDMENTS TOMORROW: TUESDAY, MARCH 22ND.
DRIGGS- The City of Driggs invites you to join staff, elected and appointed officials, stakeholders, and other community members between 2-4 pm or 6-8 pm in the City Hall Foyer for an informal (drop-in) discussion of a proposed 'first-round' of amendments to the Driggs Land Development Code to encourage the development of affordable and workforce housing in the city. Refreshments will be provided.
Your comments will help staff finalize a proposal to be considered by the Driggs Planning and Zoning Commission at its April meeting.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed Land Development Code Amendment AMD22-1 is to implement recommendations from the 2022 Housing Needs Assessmentto address the lack of workforce and affordable housing in the community by creating development incentives for workforce and affordable housing and by adding mitigation standards for consideration during an upzone and/or annexation request. The proposed amendments also implement the 2019 Affordable Housing Strategic Plan recommendations.
