Your weekly news update

Welcome to the latest edition of Chatter From The 19th. Thank you to all who attended our St Patrick's Day event last Thursday, it was a lot of fun and it's great to be able to hold events again for our members and guests to enjoy. Some photos from the evening can be found below.

Our Division 5 Saturday Pennant bowls team made our Club proud by making it to the Grand Final on the weekend. Unfortunately they didn't come away with the win however we congratulate them on a great season.

Pace of Play – Please ensure that you keep your round moving along. There are a few things you can do to keep the field moving -
- Play ready golf, if you are first to the tee, hit off then mark your scorecard while the other groups members are teeing off
- Links to R & A Pace of Play Overview
Please remember to swap your scorecard with playing partners within your group. Some things to remember;
- You are expected to counter sign your scorecard as well as being a marker on someone else’s card.
- You must ensure that scores submitted at time of signing are correct.
- Complete the crosses as that will make scanning of the scorecard possible.
- Please ensure that you have checked your score with your marker prior to submitting.
- Any mistakes on scorecard are the players responsibility and not that of Pro Shop staff.
  - The Pro Shop staff are there to process what you have submitted and not to check that it is correct.
Bunkers are now back in play - No more placing ball, play it as it lies, as per normal bunker rules
- Please remember to rake the bunker after your shot is played

There are still plenty of divots on fairways and ball marks on the greens, please remember if you see one feel free to fix them.
Please ensure you have checked into the Pro Shop prior to play and to check the local rules board for any updates on course conditions for that days play.
GMW Winter Pennant – At present we have enough interest for at least 4 men's teams. We need to get our numbers to GMGA prior to 31^st March

Golf Day for Shane Casley
A game of golf at Mooroopna for friends and family to get together to remember our old mate Shane Casley will be held on Sunday, March 27. You are invited to come and play in the comp for the day and have some fun in honour of Shane and catch up with his family. Details will be provided in the near future, for more information please private message Adrian Gleeson.

BOWLS
Saturday Pennant
Division 5 were defeated by Tallygaroopna 85 shots, 2 points to 97 shots, 16 points. Our team did a great job getting to the Grand Final and made us very proud of them, all trying their very best to win. Lee Wakenshaw‘s team had a massive win of 38 shots to 7.

A friendly reminder, please adhere to the COVID Rules when visiting Mooroopna Golf Club.
1 - Proof of Full Vaccination (unless exempt)
2 - Check In upon entry - Pro Shop and Club House
4 - If you are unwell or have mild symptoms, please do not come to the Golf Club - stay home and get tested
