A bunch of tales I wanted to share with you

A tale I read

The Feeling of Needing a Pen by Patricia Lockwood
[The Feeling of Needing a Pen by Patricia Lockwood]

A tale I heard

Poet Mary Dickins on silliness and words:

“I'm giving myself permission to be silly. The sillier I allow myself to be, the better the writing is. Words can be very soothing. Putting things into words and giving your emotions shape is an important part of coming to terms with the things that happen in life.”

A tale I saw

Summer Fruits by Craft-D

A tale I wrote

I jumped into an envelope,
let the glue stick shut,
and lay there until
I felt the sudden squeeze
of an unknown hand
around my torso. I felt
my bones float, the paper
cover me like skin.
The air disappeared.
I drifted off, let my brain
be carried to wherever
it was meant to be.
