PARK EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Help the pond: Froglife workshop
Friday 25th March

If you've been fascinated by the tadpoles growing in the park pond, come along and learn more about amphibians during a session at the park on this Friday 25th March 10am - 1pm. Froglife will give a talk and then everyone is welcome to help us clear and plant around the pond. No experience necessary.
Hear My Voice
Saturday 26th March 3pm - 6pm

We will celebrate our talented local young people at this event on the bandstand on Saturday. The young people have been supported by an Artistic Development Programme running in Longfield Hall and they will perform rap, grime, dance and soul music. Everyone is welcome to turn up and support them.
Help for your growing project
Our community greenhouse can provide you with expert help at your site, or with baby plants throughout the year. We are looking for five community growing projects to support - our expert gardener Fabrice can visit your site and deliver five workshops that will give you a headstart on growing veg this year! To apply for plants or extra help, click here.
Dance classes in the park
Sunday dance class 1pm - 2pm - Tony will be back in the park leading people in dance from April. Monday dance club 11am to 12pm -  Izach has re-started his free dance club on Mondays (donations welcome). Sunday Salsa lessons 3pm to 4pm - Homero and Madeline will run their salsa lessons from April (donations welcome).
Celebrate MFPP 20th birthday!
Everyone is welcome to attend MFPP annual general meeting on 14th May from noon - 3pm when we will be celebrating our 20th birthday. MFPP was founded by local people in February 2002 to spearhead a £3 million park renovation. Celebrate with us at the park depot with a lunch including greenhouse produce.
PARK PLANS
Compound - hear our plans
MFPP rents out the compound area (near the junction of Brief Street and Cormont Road) to Father Nature and Trees for Cities. This provides the park with vital income and also provides a home for two environmental organisations that make the world a greener place. We will be holding a meeting on Monday at 6.30pm to hear your views about our plans for the site. Email Tori for a zoom link.
Myatt's biodiversity forum
Lambeth has set a target of 35% of its park land to be managed for biodiversity - providing a huge benefit to wildlife and protecting humans by looking after the environment we depend on. Find out about Myatt's biodiversity action plan at an in-person meeting to be held soon. Email Tori for more information.
