Dear Faith Family,

I met her in the foyer after church.  She is a young single mom who lives within walking distance of our church.  It was the first time that she had been to church in a long time, but for whatever reason, she felt compelled to visit last Sunday.  She spoke through tears about how good it was to be back in church and how thankful she was for the friendliness of our people.

As she walked away, I silently thanked the Lord for how He is working among our faith family. Every week we see new faces. I praise God for your faithfulness to love and welcome everyone who walks through our doors. As we begin to plan towards Easter, could I encourage you to prayerfully ask the Lord to show you one person you can invite to Easter this year?  We will be providing invite cards and door hangers soon, but for now, let’s just pray!

Speaking of prayer, I hope you are making plans to join us on Sunday night for our Concert of Prayer.  This truly is one of my favorite nights that we spend together.  It all starts at 6:00 PM in the HUB.

Finally, this Sunday, we will take a few minutes at the end of our Worship Service to vote on two church members who will serve on our seven-member Worship Pastor Search Team.  The other Search Team members will come from our Worship Ministry Team (3) and our Personnel Team (2).  If you have any questions about this process, please don’t hesitate to call the church office (254.666.2741).

Don’t forget about the Work Day on Saturday!

You are loved!

Pastor Chris

Ukrainian Refugee Team

As a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are witnessing the largest movement of people in Europe since World War II. More than 2 million Ukrainians refugees have surged into Poland with little but a desire for safety.

We have an opportunity through the Texas Baptist Men (TBM) to send a small team to help with refugees in Poland.  Teams will work in a Polish distribution center and a refugee center in a Polish church.  Inidividuals would serve for a two week period of time.  There is nothing glamorous about the work.  It is grunt work, but it is a way to meet a practical need in the name of Jesus.

If you would be interested, please contact Pastor Chris

Operation Christmas Child (OCC)

The Senior Adult Ministry is sponsoring Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes during 2022.  The suggested items for March are hair accessories & yoyo's.

Senior Tuesdays

Please join us on Tuesdays from 2-4. We are busy making gifts for children around the world as we fill Operation Christmas Child boxes with a few extra items. We are learning to make beanie hats on a knitting loom, rubber band salvation bracelets, and we will be making jump ropes out of t-shirts. We need donations of old t-shirts. We are also making baby blankets out of loop it yarn to donate to new baby families.

Brett Cox will be here to lead Senior Activities on Tuesday, April 19.

Dominoes & puzzle tables are also available for those who just want to fellowship together.

Join us on Sunday, March 27 @ 6:00 PM for our next concert of prayer!  As a faith family, we seek to be a people who are grounded in prayer.  We believe God works in response to the prayers of his people!  We have so many reasons to give thanks and so much to lay at His feet!  This is always such a special time and we hope that you will make plans to join us!

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) is the primary way we support mission efforts in North America. One hundred percent of gifts given to AAEO are used to support more than 2,200 missionary families serving across the United States and Canada.

Every gift to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering – 100 percent – goes to train, resource and send thousands of missionaries involved in church planting and compassion ministries across the United States, Canada and their territories. Our partnership with Southern Baptist Convention churches and individuals makes this work possible.
