I *know* that the first day of spring was officially yesterday. But there is something so pleasing and resonant about the 21st. neatly marking all the significant seasonal changes throughout the year. I'm going with the 21st.

But it's not just the calendar that says spring is on--it's in the light, it's in the air, and it's in the packages filling my mailbox day after day--the seeds, in their sweet smelling, colorful, beautiful sleeves, are here!

The soil is here, too. And the off-farm winter work is (grrr, almost) put to bed. It's a clear path to take-off for seedling season, 2022.
