Hello Valley Youth Service Providers!

March is definitely the month when the year kicks into full swing. Its the time when school and university students are back studying, work projects are starting to take place, and the world's stage sets the tone of the year overall. However, we are aware that while COVID-19 becomes less prevalent in our lives, other world and national events and stressors are becoming more concerning. We ask that if you are working with young people and the community, please check on them and refer them to mental health and wellbeing services if needed. This includes referring young people to Valley Youth for short term counselling if its an option best suited to them, which can be done by contacting us with our email youth@mvcc.vic.gov.au or our phone number (03) 9243 1225

You may also refer young people and community members to a range of counseling hotlines which are listed by the Department of Health right here. We also recommend the website AskIzzy.org.au for self-referrals for a range of services.

Meanwhile, we have plenty of opportunities listed below that could otherwise inspire optimism with young people and the community.
