Dear Friends,

TERRY WAITE
We look forward to welcoming Terry Waite CBE  and Matthew Rickard this  Friday 25th. Those of you who are attending may be pleased to know that parking is available at Horsley Towers.  I know that they are both very pleased to be visiting us.

DISASTERS EMERGENCY COMMITTEE: UKRAINE HUMANITARIAN APPEAL
If you have not made a donation yet and are able to do so please clickHERE.
A number of people have visited St Martin's to use our prayer stations.  Do look in if you are able.  Details below.

FOODBANK
Please remember that the Foodbank is relying on our generosity to continue providing food to those in our village in need.  Please do not donate out-of-date items as they cannot be used. The Foodbank is in need of tinned meat, tinned vegetables, UHT milk semi-skimmed or whole, UHT fruit juice 1 litre, fruit squash, savoury snacks, chocolate spread, pasta sauce in jar, spray deodorant for men and spray deodorant for women.  Thank you so much for your continued support.

THATCHER'S HOTEL
Many of you may have heard that a number of refugees are being accommodated at Thatcher's Hotel.  We are in touch with the hotel and other local churches to find out how we might help.  More news on that in due course.  In the meantime, let us give thanks that wherever they may have arrived from, we are able to share the blessings of East Horsley with them.

DEMENTIA  AWARENESS TRAINING
As I have mentioned before I recently completed a short online course to become a 'Dementia Friend'.  It occurred to me that this is a simple way for all of us to learn more about dementia and how we might help people with it.  I would encourage you to become a Dementia Friend by clicking HERE.  It takes just a few minutes.  If you complete it, please let Kate in the office know parishoffice@easthorsleychurch.org.uk so we can have an idea of how many Dementia Friends we might have.

NEXT SUNDAY 3rd APRIL
Given that we are having a family service this Sunday for Mothering Sunday (see below) this gives our curate, Steve, an opportunity to lead a Service of the Word for Lent on Sunday 3rd April at 10.30 am.

Every blessing.

THE FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT - MOTHERING SUNDAY
God of compassion,
whose Son Jesus Christ, the child of Mary,
shared the life of a home in Nazareth,
and on the cross drew the whole human family to himself:
strengthen us in our daily living
that in joy and in sorrow
we may know the power of your presence
   to bind together and to heal;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
