Don't have a provisional license?

Earn Provisional License by June 1 = Get $500

Any Fellow who does NOT currently have a provisional license can earn a $500 bonus by completing all requirements for a provisional license by June 1, 2022. The ADE is trying to incentivize teachers to complete all requirements ASAP in order to ensure all teachers are fully licensed.

To earn the $500 bonus, you must complete the following by June 1:
  • Submit official undergraduate transcripts
  • Complete required AR IDEAS courses (including child maltreatment, dyslexia, suicide awareness, family involvement, 3-part special education, 3-part educator ethics, 14-part science of reading)
  • Pass Praxis Subject Assessment for the content you're teaching
Schedule a call with John to discuss your licensure status and any missing items. Contact Brandon (blucius@uark.edu) with any questions about the bonus.

Have a provisional license?

Add Additional Content Area by June 1 = Get $500

Any Fellow who DOES currently have a provisional license can earn a $500 bonus by passing the Praxis test required to add an additional content area to your license by June 1, 2022. The ADE is incentivizing teachers to add critical shortage areas to their license to ensure there are teachers available for all content areas. This must be a new test separate from the content you are already teaching.

To earn the $500 bonus, you must be currently licensed and earn passing scores for one of the tests below by June 1:
Find more information about passing scores for each test on the ETS Arkansas page. Contact Brandon (blucius@uark.edu) with any questions about the bonus.

Arkansas Educator Licensure System (AELS)
The AELS is the ADE's dashboard for accessing educator licensure data.
