Today we kick off our annual Spring Membership and Fund Drive and we’re happy to say, “We don't want a return to normal!” Let's make our community even better.

Thank you for supporting 103.3 Asheville FM through some of the most challenging times we as a community, both local and global, have ever experienced. As our relationship to the pandemic evolves, the urge to return to normal pre-pandemic life seems to bloom with the flowers of spring. Though nostalgia for a time before COVID-19 is understandable, we at the station question whether a return to “normal” is enough. We want more than normal, better than normal. We want to work toward a better future for the station, our community and our supporters. 


Instead of returning to normal, we here at Asheville FM want to envision a community that will be more diverse, equitable and just. That’s why we committed to Diversity Equity Inclusivity and Accessibility (DEIA) work in 2022 by hiring a diversity consultant to identify ways we can ensure we continue to be a platform for everyone in our community.

Instead of returning to normal, we have invested in new technology, upgraded our website, streaming and archiving systems and even developed an app. Our new app allows anyone to access live and archived shows easily from their phones anytime. We have invested in developing access to Asheville FM in big ways these past few years because we learned in new ways what a valuable community resource we are for Asheville. You as a donor are the lifeforce of our success. 
 
Unlike “normal” radio stations, Asheville FM is supported by listeners, not advertisers. And we are running our Spring Membership and Fund Drive from Friday, March 25 to Friday, April 1. During the week we need to raise $30,000. We’re confident that if we raise that amount, we can continue the work we are doing and still grow our organization. And we recognize and appreciate that you are a significant part of that growth! Can we count on YOU?
