Our workshop will be held at the Grande Cayman resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will have a luxurious amount of room to set up once for the whole week on a 6 ft table. The ocean will be in view and we have a large space with great light.
Some of the social events for the week have changed slightly, so note the new dates and times.
Sunday April 3 at 4 PM- Set up for the week at your table. Note: the 3rd floor of the parking garage has direct access to the workshop ballroom. If arriving from offsite, you can unload here. All visitors who are not staying at the resort, can park across the street anytime during our workshop. There is no fee for parking.
Sunday April 3 at 5 PM Meet and Greet session. I will provide wine and cheese, with Don Andrews giving us an overview of the week. It will be a chance to get to know one another and get an idea of expectations.
Monday through Friday April 4-8, 2022, 9AM to 4PM will be class time. The general schedule begins with a lecture and demo at 9AM, painting time till lunch (around noon for an hour), with a second demo in the afternoon.
Note: Once you set up the studio is yours for the week. If the room is locked, and you wish to gain entry into the studio before or after class, you may request that the room be opened for you at any time. Be sure to wear the name tag I provide you, and it will help verify your attendance in the workshop.
Monday April 4 at 5PM- Pizza Party. Cost is $5 per person (non-participating guests are welcome)
Wednesday April 6 at 6PM- Organized dinner at Croissants/Hook and Barrel on the corner of Hwy 17 Business and 82nd Ave N. in Myrtle Beach. We can carpool if you need a ride. Cost of dinner is not included. Separate checks will allow you to order what sounds best to you from one of my favorite restaurants in the area. We will have a private dining area so we can be social. Non-participating guests are welcome (let me know how many on Monday so we can reserve their seats).
Other Details:
Refreshments: I will provide an electric kettle for tea. Feel free to bring your favorite variety and help yourself. Water will be available on ice.
Starbucks is on site for an easy beverage or snack.
Lunch- There is a restaurant on site, but it sometimes is not open. There are quite a few restaurants within a short drive or walk. Delivery is also possible. My favorite strategy is to pack a sandwich daily for lunch.

For figure references, you can access them at the link below. Due to the sensitive nature of these photos, do not publish them or use them outside of the workshop. This model was paid for her work with the understanding that the photos would be used in Don’s classes.
