We Need to Hear from You

We are no longer subscribing to the school of pontification in perpetuity, we are making action happen for our communities and Colorado. It is clear you feel the same which is the real reason we have had such a tremendous response for this event. To that end, this Summit & EXPO will pose two questions:

What solutions are you working on?

What is keeping you from taking action on those solutions right now?

Part of your participation will be to share with us what you are working on and what barriers you are running up against. So, be thinking now and looking for our survey after you register.

If you have already registered click here to share your answers with us.
If you are planning to attend but haven't registered yet click here.

Senator Hickenlooper's Congressionally Directed Spending

Hello, Our office is pleased to invite you to an information session about the Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) process for fiscal year 2023 (FY23).

What is CDS? Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) is a mechanism by which members of Congress can request funding for specific projects in their home state that have been submitted for consideration by state and local government entities and nonprofits. Funding for projects, if approved, would be distributed as part of the federal appropriations process during FY23 (October 2022 - September 2023).

What does an eligible project look like? Projects must be shovel ready, clearly budgeted, self-sustaining, beneficial to the broader community, and administered by a government or nonprofit entity. Funding is limited and an application does not guarantee funding.  Attached you will find a one-page FAQ document that explains the process in a bit more depth.

When will these information sessions take place? Our office has scheduled five hour-long virtual information sessions, organized by region. These conversations will be an opportunity to learn more about the process, hear best practices, ask general questions, and connect with your regional representative to follow up for more specific feedback. If you are unable to join at your region’s scheduled time, please feel free to join a different call.

Please note: attendance at these calls will not influence consideration of your application, they are simply an additional resource to provide information about the process. Feel free to share this invitation with other community members, elected officials, or nonprofit leaders who you think might be interested in learning more.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions!

This Week's Episode with Sen. Don Coram

It MAY raise some eyebrows.
We talk water, legislation and running for Congress.

Senator Coram joins us to discuss legislation he is currently working on, rural Colorado issues including water, energy and agriculture, the state of politics in our nation and why he decided to run for Colorado's 3rd Congressional District. Action 22 does not endorse candidates during an election season. All members of Action 22 currently running for office have an open invitation to appear on Making Action Happen to discuss the issues and policies of their candidacy. The views and opinions expressed on Making Action Happen are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of Action 22.
