National Women’s Sailing Association is very excited to have Carol Olsen and Dr. Mimi George join us for this month’s She Sailor Sea Story. if you have never attend one of these online LIVE discussions, you will not want to miss this one!

Carol Olsen joins us from Maryland. Alongside her passion as a career specialist in satellite communications for ships, she is an expert researcher in the field of ship figureheads. Her work has contributed to new information for collections in Europe, South Africa and the US. Learn more about her work at www.hullartships.com

Anthropologist, Dr. Mimi George is joining us from Hawaii. She was the principal investigator of the Vaka Taumako Project. Among her incredible stories of researching voyages using techniques of freezing a sailboat in the sea-ice of Antarctica, she will be leading us through her exploration of the meaning of frigate birds for the voyaging peoples (and women sailors) of the Pacific, Indian and Caribbean oceans.

Once signed up, be sure to login in early to the event, as we have some special GIVE-AWAYS for a few lucky winners!
