The Deputy Director position assists the Executive Director in the administration of SCRCOG’s work programs and the supervision of SCRCOG staff. The Director of Transportation Planning manages the agency’s overall transportation planning program, including general administration, policy development, and effective communication and relationships with federal, state, and local agencies.
Applicant must possess strong leadership, writing, strategic, analytic, and quantitative skills. To be considered, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in urban or regional planning, public administration, government, engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 5-8 years of progressively responsible planning experience. Generally, four years of experience must be in a supervisory capacity. A master’s degree is preferred. A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to meet the requirements of the position may also be considered.
Salary will be commensurate with applicant's experience and qualifications ($90,000 - $105,000).
