Friends —
Returning to the State and Bijou this week, with 11 nominations between them, catch Drive My Car and Belfast before the Oscars on March 27th!
At the State Theatre:
Belfast
Fri & Sat 1pm, 7pm
Sun 1pm
Nominated for 7 Academy Awards including BEST PICTURE, BEST DIRECTOR, and BEST SCREENPLAY, if you missed Belfast when it was first at our theaters it is a must-see! Belfast is a movie straight from actor and filmmaker Kenneth Branagh's own childhood experience. A nine-year-old boy must chart a path towards adulthood through a world that has suddenly turned upside down. His stable and loving community and everything he thought he understood about life is changed forever — but joy, laughter, music, and the formative magic of the movies remain. A powerful film of family and perseverance about a Protestant boy growing up in Belfast’s Catholic ghetto.

Good for one — for the winner only. If there’s a tie, we will draw one winner amongst those who tied for first place. Mystery prizes for second and third place will also be awarded. All ballots must be submitted by 7pm on Oscar Night, March 27. The winner will be announced the next day.
Fill out your ballot here, or pick up a paper ballot at the theater!
REMINDER!
“Fully vaccinated” at the State and Bijou means all theatergoers must show proof at the door of having received the third “booster” shot of the Covid vaccine (or the second booster shot if you received the J&J vaccine). For the near future, we will continue wearing masks with socially-distanced seating. Better safe than sorry and having to say, “I got Covid watching a documentary!”
