ISSS has moved to a new office!

Our new office is located on the third floor of St. Leonard’s Court. To reach us, you will need to use the main entrance on 39th Street and display a green PennOpen Pass to the security guard on site before walking proceeding to the elevators on your right (select floor 3A). On the third floor, you will find our office in Suite 305 immediately to the right of the elevators. Please note that all advising will continue to be offered virtually.

Spring is here! Looking for a chance to hop back into the social scene to reconnect with your peers or meet new friends? This is the event for you.

Participants will be placed into different teams to complete 5 stations with challenging team bonding games. Teams compete against each other to earn points to win a final grand prize of the night. This event is hosted by the Assembly of International Students (AIS).

Society for African Internationals Africa Week 2022

Society for African Internationals at Penn: Africa Week 2022

📆 March 30 – April 2

Typically held for a week during the Spring semester, Africa Week has been one of the Society of African Internationals’ main traditions to celebrate African presence on Penn’s campus. This Spring, the club has brought back its annual tradition after 2 years of not hosting it due to the pandemic. The theme for 2022’s Africa Week is “In Vernacular: Redefining Africa on our Terms.” Spanning from March 30th to April 2nd, the week consists of a march along Locust Walk by African Internationals, speaker events by African poets and entrepreneurs, and a workshop on African filmmaking. The week culminates in a black-attire banquet, followed by an Afrobeats afterparty! Stay tuned to SAIP on Facebook or Instagram for updates.

FruiTea: "What change would you like to see in the world?"

FruiTea is an inclusive safe space dedicated to re-exploring various aspects of one's cultural identity. The gathering starts with people sharing their drawings on a broad ice-breaker topic. During the sharing of the ice-breaker, organic conversations then begin to flourish. FruiTea meets every Thursday from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join!

The 2022 Virtual Off-Campus Housing Fair, hosted by Penn Off-Campus Services, will give you the opportunity to browse information about housing opportunities around Philadelphia. You'll also be able to chat with landlords directly and get your questions about off-campus living answered. If you are unable to attend live, the fair materials will be available to browse on your own throughout the semester.

Society for African Internationals Africa Week 2022

Apply to be a Penn Anti-Violence Educator!

Applications to become a Penn Anti-Violence Educator for the 2022-23 academic year are now open. Penn Anti-VIolence Educators are undergraduate student workers employed by Penn Violence Prevention to facilitate workshops and consent circles for fellow students on topics including consent and bystander intervention. Apply by April 3!
