Society for African Internationals at Penn: Africa Week 2022
📆 March 30 – April 2
Typically held for a week during the Spring semester, Africa Week has been one of the Society of African Internationals’ main traditions to celebrate African presence on Penn’s campus. This Spring, the club has brought back its annual tradition after 2 years of not hosting it due to the pandemic. The theme for 2022’s Africa Week is “In Vernacular: Redefining Africa on our Terms.” Spanning from March 30th to April 2nd, the week consists of a march along Locust Walk by African Internationals, speaker events by African poets and entrepreneurs, and a workshop on African filmmaking. The week culminates in a black-attire banquet, followed by an Afrobeats afterparty! Stay tuned to SAIP on Facebook or Instagram for updates.
