TO: Virginia Law Enforcement Executives
FROM: Dana Schrad, VACP Executive Director
Recently, we have been asked to share about two different efforts to collect body armor for Ukrainian troops who are in desperate need of it. See below if you have anything – used or new, current or expired – that your agency might be able to donate in lieu of disposing.

RE: Body Armor – Seeking Used or New
|
|
|
The conflict in Ukraine has created a substantial impact on the daily lives of millions of Ukrainians. Only 4 days into the invasion by Russian Military forces, a humanitarian crisis erupted.
We – Lift Up Ukraine – are working with Ukrainians direct. They are seeking body armor (panels and carrier’s) of any threat level. If you are able and willing to assist, please do. It is needed ASAP. I am the point of contact and will receive donations directly. Please contact me, Levin, at 804-874-8813 if you can help.
Thank you for your help in Lifting Up Ukraine's Citizens.

Former Lewistown, Pennsylvania police chief Jeff Lusk just recently returned from Ukraine while on assignment with the State Department. Due to the dire situation in Ukraine and the scarcity of body armor, Lusk is requesting any law enforcement agency with used body armor, no longer in service and being stored, be donated for use by troops in Ukraine. He will make all arrangements to have the body armor picked up. Any department wishing to donate their used body armor should contact Jeff Lusk at 570 772 5475 or email jeff.luskun@gmail.com
