Upcoming Events
Parkinson’s Awareness workshopon Thursday 7 April, 10am-1pm
The course highlights key challenges for people with Parkinson’s disease such as mobility, communication and swallowing, and has a main focus throughout on the importance of drug management. The course also includes interesting clips of people who are living with Parkinson’s disease and those providing care.
A session on coping with stress and as a carer, what you can do to help.
Drop-in with Dorset Carers Hubon Wednesday 27 April,10am-2pm at 48 South Street, Dorchester, DT1 1DQ
Carer Support Dorset and Dorset Carers Hub will be running their first joint drop-in for you to talk through any questions or concerns you have about caring.
Increasing Emotional Resilienceon Thursday 28 April, 10am-12noon
This workshop provides an insight into what causes negative and positive emotions and how we can increase our emotional resilience to deal with them.
Physical Intelligence Trainingon Thursday 5 May, 10am-11am
This session is a fun introduction to the world of Physical Intelligence, where we can start to gain the ability to detect and actively manage the balance of key chemicals in our bodies so that we can achieve more, stress less, and live and work more happily.
You need to have completed our Emotional Resilience training ahead of attending this session.
Rethink Mental Illness – Managing challenging behaviouron Wednesday 11 May, 10am-11am
A session on how to cope and respond to challenging behaviour. Looking at how you can build your own confidence and assertiveness when dealing with those situations.

Survey on the My Carers Card
Dorset Council are gathering information on the My Carers Card you will have received from us at Carer Support Dorset.
They would like to find out what you think about the My Carers Card scheme, whether it is useful, what you use it for and whether you can suggest any improvements to the scheme.

Did you know that you can help us raise funds simply by recycling your ink cartridges via our Recycle4Charity programme?
For each ink cartridge recycled via the programme we will receive up to £2 donation.
