What are Aspirational Awards
Aspirational Awards are sums of money given to young people to help them achieve their aspirations.
You can apply for one award, this can either be a general award or an entrepreneurial award which includes business mentorship from one of our partners Reconomy.
Both applications are contained in the Aspirational Award briefing pack - please choose the correct application form when requesting an award.
What are they for?
They are to help you to do something that will have a long-term impact on your life. They could help you to access a training course, set up a business, visit family who you have never met who live in a different country or develop a sporting interest. The list is endless, but it does have to have a long-term benefit.
Who are they for?
They are for anyone who has completed the House Project Programme and has been living in their own home for at least 6 months.
How to apply...
Talk things through with your House Project Facilitator and have a clear plan in mind. Complete the application form which you can find here and send it to enquiries@thehouseproject.org.
The window to apply for Aspirational Awards is open from Friday 1st April 2022 and will remain open for 4 weeks, closing on Sunday 1st May 2022.
What happens next?
A panel meets to consider all the applications. The panel is made up of NHP staff, partners and young people. After the panel has met you will receive a letter to tell you whether you have been successful. If you haven’t been successful, we will explain why.
