#2C. Qur'an Halaqa for Sisters

When Aisha (RA) was asked to describe the character of the prophet (SAW), she said his character was the Quran. This level of piety is what we as Muslims aspire to attain. There are so many lessons and gems that are found in the Quran that can guide us through our modern day challenges. But we must open our eyes to the Quran in order to see this beauty!

This special pre-Ramadan series is here to help you learn, reflect and embark on understanding the Quran and gaining a deeper connection with Allah (SWT). We will be exploring the gems and stories in the tafseer of Surah Zukhruf. We would love to have you join us in our journey of learning the Quran!

This series will be guided by the tafseer audio recordings of Al-Maghrib instructor, Ustadha Taymiyyah Zubair. Participants will receive a link to an online copy of Tafseer Ibn Kathir as well. Sisters will be encouraged to listen to the tafseer recordings of a certain amount of ayat prior to each session and come to the halaqah prepared to review and discuss the topics that were covered.

#3. Prepare Yourself for Ramadan

Sawm is a pillar of Islam and is from amongst the most important actions that Allah (SWT) has decreed for the believer to perform. Its virtue is high and the reward is vast.

As narrated by Abu Huraira, Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Book 30, Hadith 4)
