arXiv, Dspace and Redalyc/Amelica - help ensure that they stay community-owned and led

Dear colleague,

I am pleased to invite you to a webinar "Everything you always wanted to know about the SCOSS 3rd pledging round" organized by SPARC Europe and SCOSS on 7 April 2022 at 3-4.30 PM CEST. In this webinar, you will hear from arXiv, Redalyc/AmeliCA, and DSpace, three Open Science Infrastructures selected for the SCOSS 3rd pledging round, about the services they provide and the sustainability issues they face.

Representatives of all three infrastructures will give presentations on their organizations. In the following panel discussion, you will have a chance to hear from SCOSS Board representatives regarding the SCOSS vetting process and from the infrastructures themselves about their paths towards sustainability. We will ask them how they would like to use the funds raised through the SCOSS campaign and their plans for the future. There will be good time for questions from the audience during a Q&A session.

Attend this webinar, and you will learn:

  • What services arXiv, Redalyc/AmeliCA and DSpace offer to the community, how they are governed, and where in the world they are most used

  • Which sustainability challenges do they face, and how they are planning to use SCOSS campaign funds to address them

  • How to pledge for each infrastructure

Please join us. Register using this link:

We hope you can make it, and please don't hesitate to pass this on to your colleagues!

Best regards,
Agata Morka
