Greetings!  As we progress through the season of Lent, I want to take a moment to encourage you to keep carving out time with God each day.  Generate a new spiritual habit that you will find fulfilling as you encounter Christ more often in each day!  We have exciting plans emerging for Holy Week and want you to be involved in every way you can be.

Volunteer:
  1. Consider volunteering for our Meal Pack event on Saturday, April 9th at 10:00 a.m.-- we will host many of the Saline County United Methodist Churches and pack 20,000 meals in 2 hours!  Let me know if you'd like to be on the team!
  2. Join in with the Family Life Ministries team as we prepare for a big Easter Eggstravaganza on April 16th.  We have ways to help prepare before the event, during and after for clean-up to be ready for Easter Sunday.
  3. Be a part of our team planning the Maundy Thursday Seder Meal!
  4. Sign-up to be a reader for our Good Friday worship service.
  5. Looking for another way to serve- call me any time and we'll find the right fit for your gifts!

Pray:

Pray for our church and its ministry.
Pray for more people to come to know the love of Jesus Christ.
Pray for an exciting vision for the future of our church.
Pray for our denomination and the pending changes.
Pray for our country and for the war in Eastern Europe, all of the families impacted.

Plan:
  • Make plans to attend or watch our Me in Methodist conversation on Sunday, March 20th at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary.  There are updates to share about rapidly changing dynamics within The United Methodist Church.
  • Plan on giving toward our Lenten Mission offering. This fund enables our participation and resourcing of ministries and community service with programs such as Habitat for Humanity, Our House, Alexander Outreach Center, Ozark Mission Project and more!
  • Plan on experiencing a powerful Resurrection Sunday and renewing your faith again in the amazing grace of God.
This Sunday-- March 20th
Regrets are regrettable.  And avoidable.  We must challenge ourselves to plan on staying the course and avoiding our sins and temptations so that we do not have to suffer the consequences of our bad choices and actions.  When conditions around us make us feel subject to whims, accidents and bad decisions of others-- it may be that all we have to change, is our own minds.  Join in furthering the conversation about God's grace covering our greatest regrets-- Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
This Sunday, March 20th @ 9:30 am in the Sanctuary.

Looking for a way to lend your voice and volunteer?  We are looking for more liturgists to lead in the opening prayer and share the weekly scripture reading in each worship service.  We are ready to return to in-person readers, but also are glad to receive readings via video.  Is this a way you would like to share God's love and participate in worship?  Contact Lisa Kennedy or Pastor Susan or call the church office!
Ready to Garden! Glory Be!
