Hello CHET friends and followers,
Today we will host the last panel of a three-part series to discuss the complicated relationship between academic entities and the communities that they are supposed to serve. We want to look at the past to acknowledge the harm caused to BIPOC communities not just to learn but to inform our actions and better improve their physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
The Discussions of Mistrust in Healthcare and Research Entities series are centered on having open conversations about academic research distrust in communities of color. The wrongful acts of harm done by academic entities will serve as the framework for the discussion of distrust within marginalized communities and research. In the final panel, we will discuss how to build reciprocal relationships between communities and academic entities. We hope you can join us today!
Missed Parts 1 and 2? You can find the recordings on our YouTube channel.
