Green Acreages Funding Extended

The Green Acreages program is accepting applications for cost-share projects to be completed by fall 2022. Stewardship projects to mitigate the impacts of flooding and/or drought on your property are eligible. This initiative is supported by Government of Alberta’s Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program. Funds are limited so apply today.

Stewardship Showcase

The Agroforestry and Woodlot Extension Society (AWES) works closely with Alberta landowners on over 30 projects each year. Learn how partnerships play a key role in their on-the-ground projects that benefit landowners’ sustainability goals, elevate ecosystem services and enhance habitat for wildlife.

A New Chapter

We've just completed the latest chapter in the Green Communities Guide. The new content, titled Conservation of Existing Natural Spaces: Wetland Protection, includes recommended practices, project considerations and the benefits to nature, communities and business for protecting wetlands.
