Each year, our parish hosts a Lenten Mission. It is an opportunity to set aside time to pray, meditate, and reflect, and most importantly, do this as a community. The Mission is a time of renewal of our relationship with God and each other. We are pleased to announce that we have invited Talitha Lemoine to lead us in our Lenten Mission this year, which is titled Come Encounter Christ. She is the Atlantic Regional Director of Catholic Christian Outreach, a university ministry.
Join us on on March 28, 29 and 30 at 7pm (that’s Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). Night 1’s theme is ‘Love’s Initiative’, Night 2’s theme is ‘Love is Offered’, and Night 3’s theme is ‘Love is Shared’.

Mass on Tuesday, March 29th will be celebrated at 12pm to accommodate the Lenten Mission.

The CWL at STM will offer a $500 Memorial Bursary to a student graduating high school this year who is going to university or NSCC. Applications are available at Prince Andrew High School. The deadline for applications is May 16th. For criteria and more information, email bettycutcliffe@ns.sympatico.ca.

The CWL at SVDP are offering two bursaries: a $500 bursary for a high school student, and a $300 bursary for a mature student. Recipients must be registered parishioners of Christ the King Parish. The deadline for applications is May 15th. For criteria and more information, contact Dina Samson: 902-223-0649.

The SVDP Knights of Columbus are hosting a Fish Chowder Take-Out Lunch each Friday during Lent. Lunch will run from 11:30am-1pm and the cost is $10. Tickets are being sold in advance before the 11:15am and 2pm Sunday Masses at Saint Vincent De Paul, or you can contact Georges Pelletier (902-237-5151).

Francophones et francophiles de la paroisse Christ-Roi, joignez le Groupe Vie Francophone (GVF), lors du Carême.
