To introduce and showcase the stunning new addition to the Kunsthaus Zurich, the Museum Restaurant has made a tempting offer. The restaurant offers a special package which includes their outstanding Sunday brunch along with admission to the museum for the special price of 52 CHF.
Ten art loving members of the AICZ and AWCZ took advantage of the generous offering this past Sunday and were not disappointed. The Brunch was substantial and bountiful. Even before taking our seats, we were welcomed with a sparkling glass of Prosecco and toasted the lovely Sunday morning. The self-service buffet included not only the expected offerings of muesli and varied breads, but also several prepared salads, both egg and meat dishes, smoked salmon, and sweet treats. With unlimited coffee, we were caffeinated for our visit to the museum.
The new wing provides a stark background which shows off the art collection to great advantage. From Old Masters to Avant Garde, the Kunsthaus provides a venue for a diverse selection of works sure to entice. The museum holds the largest collection of Munch works outside of Scandinavia. Their Impressionist collection is considered the largest in Europe outside Paris. Diffuse lighting throughout provides the indirect lighting that displays art to best advantage. The stark architecture of the new wing offers a background which does not distract from the extensive art.
There is no indication as to how long this special promotion will continue, but the offering is highly recommended. Advance reservations for the special package are required. https://www.kunsthaus.ch/besuch-planen/angebote/art-brunch/ collection.
