Gerard's Pizza - Serving The Community Since 1964!

"We've been making pizza (and friends!) since 1964. If you're just a little hungry, or you have to feed the whole army, give us a call, or stop in."

This is the first thing you see if you look up Gerard's Pizza on Facebook- they have been serving up delicious pizza and more for 58 years right in downtown Gardiner. If you've spent any time downtown you've likely noticed the big storefront windows of this popular eatery at 233 Water Street filled with seasonal decorations and happy customers enjoying a meal and probably a few laughs with friends from the community. Gerard's is a well known gathering spot for families after sports games and school events and people working in Gardiner to grab some lunch or a pizza to take home for the family.

Not only is the food good but the owners and staff are always friendly and attentive to meeting their customers needs. Claude and Stacy Caron have been at the helm since 2017 but that isn't their only connection to Gerard's.  Claude's father Real Caron and Real's brother Gerard Caron were the original owners that started the business in 1964! Claude ran the restaurant from 1983-2005 when Jeff McCormick took over as owner. Sadly Jeff passed away in 2017. That was when Claude and Stacy decided to buy back the family business and keep its presence in the community. Enduring during the pandemic has been a challenge for many local businesses but Gerard's has been able to stand strong thanks to the support from their customers and community as a popular downtown pizza joint!

Stop by Gerard's for a delicious pizza, sub, cheeseburger and much more Monday - Saturday from 11am - 8pm or call ahead at 207-582-6178.

New Show At Monkitree Gallery: Rejuvenation

Monkitree invites you to “Rejuvenation” a show of works by eight local artists. In Maine, thoughts of Spring revive us even if it doesn’t yet feel like Spring. With Rejuvenation, artists are sharing, through their art, what reinvigorates them.

While nature is a common theme - early blooms, fresh green landscapes, wildlife- sometimes the strength of others is rejuvenating. This show features the work of eight artists working in a variety of medium - photography, mixed media collage, fiber pulp painting, metal work. Artists include-Karen Jordan Allen, Kathryn Beausang, Robin Brooks, Christine J. Higgins, Payden Maddocks-Wilbur, Matthew Sapirstein, Heidi Spadter and Melissa Walden.

While the show begins with snow on the ground, hopefully, it will wrap up while nature reawakens. The show is now on view at Monkitree-263 Water Street in Gardiner during regular shop hours. March/April hours- Tues-Friday 10-5, Saturday 10-4 or by appointment.

They claimed real estate on prime Spotify playlists (e.g. “Your Favorite Coffeehouse,” “Relax & Unwind,” “Morning Acoustic”) with “Bees” cracking 10 million streams on the platform. Along the way, they sold out shows and delivered standout performances at festivals such as Boston Calling and Newport Folk Festival, while landing features at NPR, Baeble Music, Boston Globe, Paste, Earmilk, and many others.
