Dear HOPE members,

The Outreach and Advancement Committee (OAC) is responsible for Fundraising, Marketing and Branding, Membership Engagement, Communications and Public Relations.

During our last Board meeting, initial discussions centered around re-evaluating the structure and function of OAC. Those present thought it would make the most sense to divide OAC into two subcommittees: 1) Fundraising and 2) Marketing/Communications -- because it is a completely different experience talking about how much you love HOPE versus asking someone to give money to support HOPE’s mission. However, these two subcommittees would frequently work together to accomplish established goals, and still fall under the umbrella of OAC.

We will be developing smaller Task Groups that would fall under these two subcommittees such as for Fundraising: Grant writing/coordination, donor relations, event coordination (fundraising) and campaign management (fundraising), and for Marketing/Communications: Logo/branding, content/graphic design and curation, content management (scheduling and publishing), social media account management, internal communications (RMS, members) and external communications (public, media, first responders, other partners).

As such, we are in need of additional members to serve on the Outreach and Advancement Committee. This is an excellent opportunity for you to help grow HOPE!

If you are interested in serving, please send me an email at president@hopeaacr.org
