Pioneering & Fresh Expressions
News April 2022
WELCOME

Christ is Risen! Welcome to our Eastertide Pioneering & Fresh Expressions newsletter with news, events, training opportunities and meet-ups.

It is especially relevant for us at Eastertide that we can look forward to coming out of the pandemic and especially how we can develop new leadership and new ways of being church. In this issue we focus on the upcoming CCX church planting conference hosted in Southwark Diocese; Lay pioneers and how you (or people you know) can explore a calling to reach others with the good news of Christ; and Greenhouse, helping churches explore how they might start (with support) to pioneer something new.

If you have any questions for the team or stories that you think others would like to hear then please do email the team.

THURSDAY 23 JUNE
CCX CONFERENCE, ST MARK'S KENNINGTON

We are delighted that Southwark will be helping to host a site for CCX 2022. Hosted by Father Hugo Adán and Canon Will Cookson at St Mark's Kennington, we will be sharing stories and looking at ways that churches can share the good news of Christ in a multiplicity of ways. We will be hosting a series of seminars by practitioners including:

  Starting an eco congregation
  Grafting a congregation
  Social justice and evangelism
  Reaching new housing estates

In addition, a selection of stories including 'Persevering on reaching an estate' and 'Starting Bubble Church'. With input from Ed Stetzer. The conference is free and we do hope that you will come and join us for what should be a great and inspiring day. Read more and register.
