ESS BILBAO
ESS Bilbao is a public consortium formed of the Spanish and Basque Governments, bringing knowledge and added value in particle accelerator and neutron scattering science and technologies by leveraging its in-kind contribution to the European Spallation Neutron Source in Lund, Sweden.
|
|
Eight years ago, a team of 15 researchers from ESS Bilbao made the commitment and accepted the challenge to take over the design, manufacturing and commissioning of the whole RF systems for the Normal Conducting section of the European Spallation Source (ESS) proton LINAC as part of the Spanish in-kind contribution to the ESS project. The ESS project is the world’s most powerful pulsed neutron source based on a linear accelerator or linac, which accelerates a proton beam of 62.5 mA current to an energy peak of 2000 MeV.

Big Science Business Forum: the main meeting point between research infrastructures and industry.
BSBF2022 will be the second edition of the single one-stop-shop for European companies and other stakeholders to learn about Europe’s Big Science organisations’ future investments and procurements worth 37,100 millions of euros. More than 1000 delegates from 500 businesses and organisations across Europe are expected to participate throughout the 4 days ( 4-7 October).

Training course on Artificial Intelligence in Svalbard
Applications are now open for SIOS member institutions! This autumn SIOS offers a training course on how to effectively use AI methods in Arctic Earth observation with special focus on research in Svalbard. The goal of the course is to teach participants the basic skills needed to use AI methods with Arctic Earth observation datasets.

ESO is among the ENRIITC Associates who participated in our call and have been selected for funding! The ELT INSTRUMENTS DAY 2022 has been organised for the ESO Member state industry suppliers to the Extreme Large Telescope (ELT) Instruments.The event will give an overview on the business opportunities arising from the construction of the ELT instruments in the coming years.
