Peace be with you,

It is with great sadness we share that on March 16, Father Michael MacEwen went home to the Lord after a lengthy illness. Father MacEwen was parochial vicar here in the early 1990s.  We offer our condolences to all of you who knew him. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.

This newsletter falls between St. Patrick’s Day and St. Joseph’s Day!  St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and the Archdiocese of Boston.  St. Joseph is the patron saint of fathers, families, and workers (although St Joseph the worker is celebrated in May).  So, today we recognize both saints and their sacrifices for our faith and their deep devotion to God. St. Joseph and St. Patrick, pray for us.

We have so many exciting activities and events we want to share with you. This newsletter will be a little longer than usual, but we don’t want you to miss anything. We will highlight everything here, and as always, read below for more information, including many ongoing program reminders.
  • This weekend, we will be having a special collection for the people of Ukraine.  This collection will benefit the work of Catholic Relief Services which has people on the ground providing help and support.
  • Next Friday, March 25, Pope Francis will Consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  For those who are offering prayers for Ukraine, please join us in the church that day to participate in the Pope’s Consecration (we will livestream), in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
  • April 3, we will be having Living Stations of the Cross at 5 PM.  Father Anda is looking for participants and helpers.
  • Saturday, April 30, 8:30 AM - 6 PM,  the Hope Conference is hosting Fearless, a full day of events, music, speakers, and worship.  Bishop Mark is the celebrant at the Mass and will be giving the homily.  We are considering offering bus transportation that day, so if you are considering going, and would be interested in the bus, please let us know.
  • Golf Tournament, September 19: Yes, we know this is still six months away, but we know golfers only do so many tournaments each year.  Please remember our tournament, which is raising money to automate a couple of our doors, to make the church and hall easily accessible to all.
  • Lastly, thank you to all who have made pledges toward the Catholic Appeal.  If you haven’t yet donated, we hope you will consider making a pledge.  We receive much support from the Archdiocese, and it is important to support them.  Remember, a portion of anything raised above our goal comes back to St. Theresa.
We hope you are enjoying our spring weather.

Blessings upon you and your family,
Bishop Mark, Father Anda, and staff

On March 25, on the Feast of the Annunciation, Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Saint Peter’s Square in Rome. This date is historically significant, as on the same day in 1984, Saint John Paul II consecrated Russia and the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, said in a statement: “The same act, on the same day, will be performed in Fatima by Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, papal almoner,” who is being sent there by the Pope.

We invite you to participate in the Pope's Consecration, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, next Friday.  We will have adoration in the church (normally in the chapel) from 10 AM to 1 PM, and at 12 PM, we will livestream the Pope's Consecration of Russia and the Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Hope Conferences presents FEARLESS!
April 30, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Boston
(Bishop Mark will be a speaker)
Surrounded by the glorious renovations of Holy Cross Cathedral in Boston, this full-day conference is so needed in these days of overwhelming change and fear-filled news.  With four profound talks, praise and worship music, celebration of Holy Mass, Adoration, and Reconciliation, attendees will experience the re-ignition of courage and renewal of identity so necessary for our time.  COME - and be transformed into Spiritual Warriors!  "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and sound mind"  2 Timothy 1:7
Go to www.HopeConferences.com to register.

Bus Transportation
We are considering hiring a bus to bring people to and from the conference--if we have enough interest.  If this is something you would be interested in, please email us to let us know.  We estimate the cost would be $10 per person.  We would need a minimum number of people to rent the bus.  We are first offering transportation to St. Theresa parishioners, and then we will extend the offer to other churches. We are limited to 50 people.  The bus would leave St. Theresa at 7:15 AM and return approximately 7 PM.
