Led by Detective Kouremetis of the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s dept. Here is a bit of info on Detective K as he is commonly known: is responsible for Threat Assessment, Terrorism and Active Shooter training for the County of Santa Barbara. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with us and will engage us with an interactive power point discussion.....this information could “Literally” save your life! Please join us!!
Dear Community,
As the weather shows us, Spring is approaching and that means one of our most important holidays will be upon us soon – Passover (Pesach). It is our story of redemption and freedom; qualities we want all people, no matter their religion or ethnicity to enjoy.
We will again have our traditional 2nd night Seder under the auspices of our wonderful Rabbi Debi. Though a serious occasion, it can be filled with humor and delight. Bring your your children, your elders, your friends to celebrate together as we Gd willing exit our two years of Covid solitude.
Yes, we escaped Egypt, but horrific acts of anti-Semitism are increasing across the country and security at all major functions is now required. To that end, the Safety and Security Committee has arranged a crucial safety training for ALL MEMBERS and interested persons of the Santa Ynez Valley Jewish Community and St. Mark’s. Details are below:
