2021 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards - SILVER Award Winners (Hosted Accommodation) - Heytesbury House, Cobden. They are one of the best in Australia! Congratulations on an excellent achievement. 

Congratulations also to Anchors Port Campbell who were nominated in the 4-4.5 star accommodation category at these same awards! To be recognized at  the Australian level is a huge achievement!

Victoria took home 11 awards at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. To achieve this in such trying times is absolutely outstanding. Well done to both Heytesbury House and Anchors Port Campbell on a milestone achievement.

Visit Victoria has launched a Great Ocean Road series and extraordinary Great Ocean Road locals feature in the new TV ad encouraging Victorians to take a trip to the famed region during the off-peak season.
The campaign airs at a critical time for the region, aimed at driving visitation into the off-peak seasons. Tourism operators are encouraged to get involved in the Stay close, go further campaign via the industry toolkit.

South West Victoria’s farmers have a chance to share and promote their ideas and inventions with the launch of the region’s first dairy innovation challenge. The 2022 South West Victoria Dairy Innovation Challenge is an initiative of the DemoDAIRY Foundation (DDF).
Innovations in three categories are being sought. These can be in use now or an idea that requires additional research and development. Applications close Wednesday 30 March 2022.

Westvic Dairy have organised this program to help farmers maximise farm profit by providing the skills and tools to grow the maximum quantity of high quality pasture on farm and confidently use purchased feeds to increase farm profitability.

A free one-on-one consultation is available for each participating farm business.
The program runs over twelve months, starting with two theory days and followed by five on-farm days which focus on the challenges of each season. Day 1 commences Tuesday 5 April 2022, 10am-2.30pm, Timboon.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, Food and Fibre Great South Coast, proudly supported by Westpac, will be celebrating women’s contribution to the sector through a Leadership for All Seasons High Tea. Welcoming all to an afternoon of high tea and inspiring insights from women leaders on Thursday 24 March 2022, 2pm-5.30pm, Brother Fox Cafe, Deakin University Campus Warrnambool.

WOMEN IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT
The State Government are encouraging more women to represent their local communities by supporting their advancement into local government. The new program 'Leadership for Women in Local Government Program' has been launched to support 120 women over three years. Applications open next month, with the program scheduled to commence in July 2022. If you would like more information about the Program, please contact Local Government Victoria at wilgvic@ecodev.vic.gov.au.
