In my reading some years ago, I came across a story about the Franklin expedition. The story takes place in the mid-1800s. Sir John Franklin was tasked with the responsibility to find a route through the northern part of Canada to the Pacific Ocean.

Dr. Leslie specializes in treating depression and PTSD in children and adolescents with an academic interest in immigrant and refugee trauma. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University and completed her residency in psychiatry at the Loma Linda University Medical Center and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania. She has worked with youth in her personal life as a Big Sister and youth club instructor, as well, and believes in the ability of every child to thrive and succeed with proper support and mentorship. Her goal is to educate people on the importance of attending to their physical and mental health since both aspects of health contribute to wholeness and true healing.
